This is the oldest, continually-used glassworks in Bohemia, founded in 1712. Traditional hand production using glass blowpipes and blowing into wooden moulds are techniques used here to this day. The glassworks now mainly produce luxury drinking sets, decorative and utility glass and crystal chandeliers. The company is capable of making more than 30 colours of glass and produces around 40,000 pieces of drinking glassware a month. Other parts of the complex that are popular with tourists are the brewery, the restaurant, the beer baths, the hotel and the museum, with its historic glass products. The production areas of the Harrachov glassworks can be toured all year round.
