The Jílek glassworks was founded in 1905 and is one of the oldest glassworks in the Czech Republic that operates almost continuously. In addition to the wide production of colored glass, the pride of the glass factory is also the beautiful architecture of the glass factory building itself, which is particularly interesting due to the unique use of a metal supporting structure. Guided tours for the public available only after making a reservation (Mon–Fri 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.).

This database was created as a pilot project of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic in support of cultural and creative industries. Its preparation and management was entrusted with the Museum of Glass and Jewelery in Jablonec nad Nisou , the only state institution specializing in these Unique and successful worldwide disciplines.
